Adventure Dynamicsbegan in Taranaki, NZ, back in 2003. A young
company, but created by Don Paterson, a talented outdoor educator with over 25 years
of experience. Don had so many skills, he didn’t know what to specialise in. As
a result, Adventure Dynamicsis able to offer everything from interpretive
field days in the bush with children, corporate team building to instructor training
and mountain guiding.
Adventure Dynamicsoffers guiding, instruction and consultancy
mainly on and around Mount Taranaki (Egmont National Park). However, we are mobile
and can operate other places too. We have a Department of Conservationconcession for guiding and instruction in Egmont National Park and Tongariro National
Education is a major focus for Adventure Dynamics. There isn’t
an activity that runs without some kind of learning happening. It could be experientioal
learning of communicatin and leadershop skills, learining about the environment
and our place within it, to training instructors towards internationally recognised
qualifications with the New Zealand Outdoor Instructor’s Association.
Adventure Dynamicshas a package for you or will design a programme
specifically to suit you personally, your family, team or business.
We are the leading Outdoor Adventure Specialist in Taranaki.
Leading the team is Don Paterson who began his extensive career as raft guide in
1979. His passion for sharing the outdoor world is impressive. He has worked since
those early days on 4 continents as an outdoor education teacher, mountain and river
guide, outdoor pursuits instructor and a consultant.
He is highly regarded in the outdoor industry and has been involved with the development
of many outdoor instructor qualifications that are available in New Zealand. Many
current instructors have at some stage been trained or assessed by Don.
Don operates to the highest standards, which ensures that all the work he does is
client focused, safe and follows current industry practice. Any Adventure Dynamicsemployees are also required to conform to Don's high standards.
